I associate shot Kimberly and Joey’s wedding for Grant Daniels Photography. I first met with them via Facetime to hear their vision for their day. When it came down to it, however, their vision ended up being modified from around 100 people or so to just their immediate family. But that did not keep their joy from shining through! Something I realized from their COVID-conscious wedding is that having a smaller wedding does not take away from the true celebration of it all. In fact, I would say it highlights it all the more.
One of my favorite things about their day was Kimberly’s joy. This girl could not be bothered by anything because she was all caught up in her excitement to be married (proof is in the photos below!)
Kimberly and Joey got married at the beautiful Inn at Carnall Hall, which is on the campus of the University of Arkansas and in the heart of Fayetteville. Side note: If you have never visited Fayetteville, you should know that it’s one of the cutest towns ever.
Something I love about small weddings is that they offer you so much time to truly soak it all in. The pressure of getting through everything on the timeline is just not there, which is the very best. There was no physical bridal party for this wedding, just family. Kimberly did Zoom with her bridesmaids, though- a very COVID classic gesture for sure! But hey- you gotta do what you gotta do. I think it’s awesome that technology has made way for people to remain connected.
As for the detail shots, The Inn at Carnall Hall made it pretty easy to get some great captures! This place was just downright gorgeous. Seriously, give Fayetteville a visit if you haven’t already!
Two of my favorite things from Kimberly and Joey’s special day were the first looks. Kimberly’s first look with her father was so special. These two have a close-knit relationship and you can certainly see it in the photos.
Kimberly and Joey’s first look was also so great. Some brides cry the whole time, others giggle a lot. Kimberly was definitely a giggly bride! Her joy made way for some really great captures.
When it was time to tie the knot, we went to the catholic church down the road, which was about two minutes away from Carnall Hall. The photo you will see of them waving as they were walking out was them saying hi to their livestream. In addition, their church family showed up to wave at them as they were walking out. It was so great and undoubtedly a memorable wedding. COVID didn’t steal their joy- it only amplified it. Here’s to forever, K & J.
