Before we go any further, I want to highlight the vendor team who made this day happen.

A summer wedding at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas, is the epitome of Austin charm. The Danielle Frankel bride made a statement in the Rainey gown – a perfect choice for a chic bride seeking contemporary elegance. The Rainey gown’s pleated silk and unique design effortlessly complemented the vibrant atmosphere of this August celebration.
The day began with getting ready around the Driskill, followed by a Catholic ceremony before heading back to the hotel! Bridesmaids wore colorful dresses that added personality and contrast. Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen kept it classic in black tuxedos, creating a balanced, timeless aesthetic.
The reception brought a touch of color with vibrant florals and fruit that complimented the lively energy their guests brought. A few of the evening’s standout moments were a Grand March, one of their friends playing the fiddle with the band (he tours with a beloved Texas country band, so it was actually amazing!!!), and a dance floor that stayed packed.
As the evening came to a close, the couple exited in true Aggie fashion – with rally towels waving and a vintage car waiting. This wedding was a seamless blend of tradition and personality, a reflection of a couple who embraced stylish choices while honoring classic elements.
As a wedding photographer, celebrations like this – featuring details such as the Danielle Frankel Rainey gown and dynamic city settings – are a dream. They highlight the beauty of individuality in modern wedding design.
